Cathy Bost Sonneville - Real Estate Paralegal

Cathy was born and raised in the Florida Panhandle, where she began her real estate career while still in high school, and employed with Okaloosa Title and Abstract Company, in 1973. Relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1981 and continuing in real estate, Cathy was honored to handle high liability commercial transactions, namely Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, Circus Circus and Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, just to name a few. She also received a Coast Guard Certificate upon completion of the course at Nellis Air Force Base. After living out west for almost twenty years, Cathy moved to Statesville, North Carolina, being the original homeplace of her parents, and continues her real estate career of 43 years and counting. She attended Mitchell Community College earning Paralegal and Bookkeeping Certificates. Cathy joined Barone Law Offices in February, 2012 and is currently in charge of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Patrick R. Maclean - Estate Planning and Administration Paralegal

Our Estate Planning and Estate Administration paralegal, Patrick is a native Floridian who has called North Carolina home for several decades. He earned his BA from LaGrange College and his MA from the University of Southern Mississippi before undertaking postgraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is an ordained minister, pastoring a mission church in Huntersville. He is also well-versed in Canon Law and serves as Chancellor of a major Anglican jurisdiction. After spending several years teaching in the public schools, Patrick entered the Paralegal program at Queens College in Charlotte (under the American Institute of Paralegal Studies). Upon completing the program he joined the Estates Division of the Mecklenburg County Clerk of Superior Court as Deputy Clerk, where he worked extensively with attorneys, paralegals, and the general public in all aspects of estates and probate matters. Patrick was also one of two Deputy Clerks handling Involuntary Commitments. Upon leaving the courthouse in 2004 he was the Senior Auditor in the Estates Division. Patrick is an expert in drafting Wills and Trusts, Health Care Powers of Attorney, Durable Powers of Attorney, and other estate planning documents, and always keeps in mind the client’s needs along with the various statutory requirements. A great deal of customization is available for these documents. Estate Administration (testate or intestate) is an important part of our firm’s practice, and Patrick uses his many years of experience to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients. His familiarity with court proceedings is a plus, guiding our clients through what can be a difficult experience.

Cheryl Miller - N.C. Certified Paralegal

Cheryl was born and raised just north of Tampa, FL. She began working law office in 1998 in Clear Water, FL. In 2001 she moved to the Mooresville area, where she became a Notary Public. Then in 2005 she obtained her NC Paralegal Certification. Finally, in 2016, Cheryl joined the BLO. Cheryl has been working in areas of Civil Litigation, Criminal, Traffic, Landlord & Tenant, Personal Injury, Corporations, and Family Law.
